In light of the significant number of the population that are currently exceeding the Expert Groups on Vitamin and Mineral's Guidance Level for vitamin A of 1500?gRE/d, the Food Standards Agency asked SACN to review current advice to consumers on vitamin A (retinol) intake with particular reference to liver.
