A new inter committee sub-group has been established to review advice on fish consumption. The Fish Inter-Committee Sub-Group (FICS) is comprised of members of the Committee on Toxicity of Chemicals in Food Consumer Products and the Environment (COT) and the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN). In accordance with the Government policy on transparency in working procedures, SACN operates from a presumption of openness. Dates of meetings and agendas are published in advance and the minutes made available on the website as soon as they are agreed.
