SACN were given the opportunity to comment on the options for new restrictions for television advertising of food and drink products to children. Whilst SACN carries no expertise in the areas of broadcast regulation, the committee has taken this opportunity to raise some fundamental nutrition related issues and raise some relevant risk assessment questions that Ofcom will need to consider in the short and medium term.
